DJ Krowbar reflects on wife’s words during first birthday without her

The gospel DJ opened up about how her presence and words continue to guide him even after her death. He shared the message while remembering moments that were close to their hearts.
He explained that the day felt different because it was the first time he was celebrating without her physical presence. DJ Krowbar said he still felt surrounded by reminders of her love and the community they built together. He also highlighted a thoughtful gift he received from their church group.

DJ Krowbar said the gift carried deep meaning and reminded him of the bond they shared. He noted that it included a line his wife used to say every year, which made the moment even more emotional.
“Yesterday at church, the E-group my wife and I belong to had this made for us,” DJ Krowbar said on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Remembering his wife’s words and support
He explained that the message reminded him of his wife’s consistent encouragement throughout their relationship. According to him, her words were a source of strength that he carried every year. The memory brought both comfort and reflection during his birthday.
“What a thoughtful gift, a line my wife told me every single year surrounded by the African fabric we chose to adorn her with,” DJ Krowbar said.
DJ Krowbar expressed gratitude for the support system around him, saying it has helped him cope during this difficult period. He said the love from his community continues to uplift him as he navigates life without his wife.

“I am so blessed with the gift of community. Love you guys sanaaaaaaaa,” DJ Krowbar said.
He also appreciated a special artwork created by one of his wife’s close friends. According to him, the gesture showed deep thoughtfulness and care, making the moment more meaningful.
“This art was made by one of my wife’s best friends, Grace. Thank you so much, always thoughtful in your art. Thanks, siz,” he said.
DJ Krowbar concluded his message by holding onto a phrase that carried special meaning in their relationship. He said the words represented hope and faith even during difficult times.
