Diana Bahati goes on rant after son Morgan calls her ‘bruh’ while asking for cash
By Steve Ireri, May 13, 2026Socialite and singer Kelvin Bahati’s wife, Diana Marua, has gone on a rant after her son Morgan called her “bruh” while requesting a top-up of his school pocket money.
Speaking in an Instagram video on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Diana said she was caught off guard by how her son now addresses her, noting that she has witnessed a transition from being called “mum” to “mama”, then “mummy”, and now unexpectedly “bruh.”
“Is it just me or guys, please tell me. Nobody prepares you for this transition from your kids calling you mum, to mama, to mummy, to mum, and now ‘bruh’,” she said.
She explained that Morgan called her from school using his teacher’s phone number, asking for pocket money after exhausting what he had been given earlier.
According to Diana, she was even forced to record the phone call out of disbelief after hearing how her son was speaking to her during the conversation.
“So Morgan just called me from school using the teacher’s number and he was asking for some money, and then I heard him call me ‘mathe’. I even had to record that call,” she shared.

Diana further joked that she now wonders whether Morgan goes to school just to eat alone once his pocket money runs out, adding humour to her frustration over the situation.
The content creator also recalled being surprised when Morgan casually referred to her as “mathe” during the call, before later switching to the slang term “bruh.”
She added that Morgan even told her to “stop the crap, bruh,” a statement that left her even more shocked and amused at the same time.
“And Morgan was telling me he wanted me to send him pocket money because the one he had was depleted. And another thing, I wonder whether he went to school to eat alone now that his pocket money is finished. And now on top of that, he calls me ‘mathe’. Look at me… he also called me ‘bruh’. He even said ‘stop the crap bruh’,” she said.
Diana said she eventually had to set boundaries, telling Morgan that he would only receive pocket money if he addressed her using the correct name, insisting on respect even in their playful exchanges.
“I have now told Morgan he will only call me when he wants pocket money if he uses the right name,” Diana said.
