Dem Wa Facebook reacts to Gloria Ntazola’s call for arrest of broke people who get pregnant
By Paulette Mboga, March 13, 2026Digital content creator and stand-up comedian Millicent Ayuwa, widely known as Dem wa Facebook, has fired back at the social media influencer Gloria Ntazola’s controversial comments about women getting pregnant without financial means.
Dem Wa Facebook, who is currently pregnant, expressed shock over the remarks in a post on Instagram on Friday, March 13, 2026.
“Nani aligongea Ntazola because hii hasira si ya kawaida. Na mwenye aligongea Ntazola ni kama aligongewa na akapewa mimba mbele yake. Muniambie. Hii hasira yote mbona anatuwekea?” she said.
She questioned why Ntazola seemed to single out women like her, insisting they had done nothing to provoke such anger.
Dem wa FB added that she and others are quietly raising their children and pregnancies.
“Tumekaa tu nyumbani tumetulia, hatujachokoza mtu. Tumekaa tumetulia tunalea mimba. Ndio hii sasa tumeanza kupashwa. Anasema tunafaa tushikwe,” she said.
She argued that being pregnant is a personal matter and that no one should dictate who can or cannot have children.
Ntazola’s controversial remarks
Earlier, Ntazola sparked outrage after saying women who get pregnant without money should be arrested. In a TikTok video, she stated that reproduction should be a privilege reserved for those who can afford it.
“I think kushika mimba, when you lack financial stability, should be termed one of the biggest crimes. And you should be arrested by the authorities and arraigned in court because you are inconveniencing the entire world,” she said.
Ntazola questioned how women in such situations expect to provide for their children. She emphasised that having a baby requires careful planning and financial resources.
“Having a baby is a whole project that requires finances, and anyone without money should not get pregnant,” she added.
Dem wa FB’s response highlights the pushback from the public against Ntazola’s statements. Many see the comments as unfair and insensitive, especially to women who are working hard to raise families despite financial challenges.
“Kama tunashikwa juu ya kupata mimba then waanze na wazazi wako,” Dem wa FB said.
She stressed that women should have the right to make their own choices about pregnancy, regardless of their financial situation, and criticised Ntazola for trying to shame those who are already expecting.
