In an Instagram post on Sunday, April 5, 2026, Daddy Owen emphasised that the outcome of the clash offered lessons far beyond the boxing ring.
He observed that the fight highlighted a fundamental truth that success is not always determined by raw talent or physical strength, but by consistent effort, persistence, and showing up when opportunity calls.
“We said we don’t need advice in 2026… but let’s be honest for a second. After watching the clash between Majembe and Mbavu, something stood out, something deeper than the punches, the noise, and the hype. Sometimes in life, all you really need is belief… and relentless consistency. Talent is great, yes. But showing up? That’s where the real magic hides,” he wrote.
Daddy Owen painted a vivid picture of Majembe’s early days, recalling how the boxer was once posting low-quality videos in an alley in Kisumu, seemingly unnoticed by anyone.
Despite having no professional training, no audience, and no fancy equipment, Majembe’s dedication to putting himself out there eventually caught the attention of the right people.
“Majembe was somewhere in an alley in Kisumu, posting low-quality videos like a man arguing with his own shadow. No fancy gear, no crowd, just vibes and a bold word, ‘challenge’. And yet, somewhere along the timeline, opportunity heard him,” Daddy Owen wrote.
He went on to explain that Mbavu Destroyer, while immensely talented and popular, also has the potential to rise to greater prominence with proper management, branding, and direction.
Daddy Owen used the fight as a metaphor for life, stressing that showing up consistently, even in small or unnoticed ways, can eventually lead to transformative opportunities.
“Now look. You can actually see it; Majembe has something. With proper training, discipline, and structure, he could evolve into a serious amateur boxer… and maybe even go pro. And Mbavu? With the right management, branding, and direction, he could easily become a household name. the kind of personality who is, quite literally, famous for being famous. It sounds funny, but it’s real. Because life doesn’t always reward the strongest, the fastest, or even the most talented,” he added.
Quoting from the Bible, the ‘Vanity’ hitmaker said Majembe’s victory was a result of his relentless consistency, proving that preparation and persistence can outshine raw talent in the long run.
Owen then encouraged his fans to continue showing up in every area of life, no matter how small or unnoticed the efforts may seem.
He urged persistence, even when circumstances seem unremarkable, noting that eventually, time and chance might locate your consistency and change everything.
