Crazy Kennar jokes about running for Uganda’s presidency in viral skit
By Charles Ouma, January 26, 2026Kenyan content creator Crazy Kennar has unpacked thereality of vying for Presidential elections in Uganda in a hilarious skit that has gone viral.
Getting into the real character that has made him an internet sensation, Kennar poses as a Ugandan farmer who abandons banana farming to go for the highest seat in the land in the video posted on his official social media platforms on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Frustrated by the unemployment around him, in which graduates work as casual labourers at construction sites, he makes the big announcement of his candidacy for the presidency.

“My beloved Ugandans, it is time for change. I Kennar, will be vying for the Presidency.”
Almost immediately, armed men wearing uniforms are seen coming for him in a speeding vehicle that knocks down his platform.
Hostile reception
While addressing voters, hoping to convince them to support his bid, armed men wearing uniforms resembling those of the police spray him with water, disrupting the rally and forcing him to flee.
He is also teargassed when he goes to print his campaign materials, including posters, an indication of the hostility that some presidential candidates in the neighbouring nation have alleged.
Undeterred by the chaos around his bid and the hostility, he soldiers on and turns to social media to mobilise voters online.

The attack extends to social media, where he is seen attempting to make a post before being interrupted and chased away.
A raid at his home in which armed men using a bulldozer extract him from the house, followed by a thorough beating, convinces him to shelve his bid. Kennar’s skit & events in Uganda
Kennar’s skit and the events in Uganda
The hilarious skit bears close resemblance to recent events in Uganda, where Bobi Wine challenged the country’s long-serving President, Yoweri Museveni, with fans praising the comedian for his creativity.
Bobi Wine, who was the National Unity Platform candidate in the January 15 elections, had a number of his rallies disrupted by police who lobbed teargas cannisters and sprayed water on the popstar and his supporters.
The singer also claimed a raid at his home during which armed men ransacked his home and made away with valuables.
