Chiki Kuruka reaffirms vow to Bien as they mark 6th wedding anniversary

In a post on her Instagram account on Friday, March 6, 2026, Chiki reflected on their six-year journey in marriage, stating that genuine friendship has been at the centre of it all.
She admitted that no couple can predict the future with accuracy, and many do not know the magnitude of a significant life event.
“6 years ago, we said yes. The truth is, no couple getting married REALLY knows what they are saying yes to. Marriage varies so much from couple to couple. But when we said our vows, I looked you in your eyes and said, no matter what, I promise to put our friendship first, she stated.
Union anchored in friendship
Chiki emphasised that she has always taken their friendship seriously, even as they share a part of their lives with the public by virtue of being celebrities.
“It’s a vow I’ve taken seriously. At the centre of the US is friendship. It’s laughter. It’s nights in watching pop the balloon, it’s our own public language and a sharing of our own private fears,” she added.
She professed her endless love for the singer, affirming her commitment to “till death do us part” in a beautiful message that summarised their love story anchored in friendship.
Chiki: Life isn’t always happy
The media personality acknowledged the different seasons of life, admitting that life isn’t always happy, but their friendship has kept them going.
“It’s funny, a commitment to a life of happiness can feel a bit unrealistic, life isn’t always happy. But I did then, and I do now commit to placing our friendship first.
Chiki, who wears many hats, including fitness instructor, choreographer, and talent manager, shared a photo of the invitation cards that guests to their wedding received, bringing nostalgic memories to life. “I came across our save the date the other day! This was before the days of AI! A hand-drawn invite. ❤️” she stated.
