Chiki Kuruka celebrates sister with heartfelt birthday message

Kenyan singer Bien-Aimé Baraza’s wife, Chiki Kuruka, has melted hearts online after penning a hearty tribute to celebrate her sister as she turns a year older.

In a statement shared via her Instagram page on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the dance guru took a nostalgic walk down memory lane, opening up about how their bond has evolved over the years from protective big sister energy to a full-blown adult friendship.

“Having a sister is like having an inbuilt best friend. Having a baby sister is even more special. You started off feeling like MY baby. I wanted to always make sure you were ok. Had you eaten? Were your clothes proper? Was anyone picking on you at school? And most importantly were you happy???”

Chiki painted a vivid picture of the early days, where she naturally stepped into a caring, almost motherly role. But as time passed, she admits, things shifted in the most unexpected and beautiful ways.

“Then you became an adult, and our relationship changed. Suddenly, you were my friend. I found myself seeking advice from you. Leaning on you. Sharing my secrets with you. It was weird at first lol. But beautiful.”

Now, both grown women, Chiki says, their bond has only grown stronger, rooted in mutual respect, love, and an unshakable connection that clearly goes beyond just sisterhood.

“Now we are both women, and we are unbreakable. My GOD i love you. Your happiness is genuinely my happiness.”

“Happy birthday @princeisio_a. You old too now bitch,” she added.
