Till my last breath: Natalie Githinji vows to keep fighting for women with Endometriosis

By , August 11, 2026

Media personality Natalie Githinji has renewed her commitment to speaking about endometriosis and pushing for better care for women living with the condition.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Natalie said more needs to be done to create awareness, support research and improve access to healthcare for women affected by endometriosis.

Her message comes days after she was admitted to hospital following an endometriosis flare, highlighting the ongoing challenges she continues to face while managing the condition.

Natalie calls for action on endometriosis

Natalie said she wants conversations around endometriosis to continue, arguing that silence has allowed many women to struggle without enough support or understanding.

She called for greater awareness and research, as well as better healthcare for those seeking diagnosis and treatment. “Endometriosis will continue taking from women unless we firmly speak about it. We need awareness, research, better healthcare, and action,” she said.

Natalie also made it clear that her advocacy will remain part of her work, saying she intends to continue using her platform to speak for women living with the condition.

“To my last breath, I shall fight for women. And when my journey is over, I want ‘at least I tried’ to be my final words,” she added.

Hospital admission after endometriosis flare

Her latest message follows her hospital admission on August 3, 2026, after experiencing an endometriosis flare.

At the time, her friend Laura Mbatha shared an update with Natalie’s followers, explaining that she was receiving treatment and asking them to keep her in their prayers.

“Hi guys, posting on behalf of Natalie. Today is one of those days we ask you to keep her in your prayers. She’s having an endometriosis flare and is currently admitted, receiving treatment,” Laura said.

Natalie later confirmed that she had been discharged from hospital and thanked those who supported her during the difficult period.

Preparing for surgery

Following her discharge, Natalie said she was preparing for the next stage of her treatment, including surgery.

She has not disclosed when the procedure will take place but said she was making plans before undergoing it. “I was discharged, but the journey is not over now. I am planning a few things before my surgery,” she said.

She also thanked people who visited her in hospital and those who sent messages of support. Despite leaving hospital, Natalie stressed that her advocacy would continue. “Still, endometriosis must be heard,” she said.

The cost of treatment

Natalie has previously used her platform to highlight the financial challenges faced by women seeking treatment for endometriosis.

She revealed that laparoscopic endometriosis surgery can cost between Ksh350,000 and more than Ksh1.5 million, depending on the severity of the condition and the healthcare facility.

As she prepares for surgery, Natalie continues to share her experience with her followers while calling for better awareness and access to treatment.

For her, the conversation is not only about her own journey but also about women who continue to live with the condition and need their experiences to be heard.
