TikToker Gee Gee’s friends narrate her final moments before she collapsed in club washroom
By Steve Ireri, July 25, 2026Fresh details have emerged surrounding the death of Kenyan TikToker Gee Gee, with her family and close friends recounting the events that preceded her death after she left her usual karaoke hosting event and joined a group of women at another venue.
The new details were shared on Saturday, July 25, 2026, as those close to Gee Gee continued to seek answers about the circumstances surrounding her sudden death.
Speaking in a TikTok live hosted by Queen Fridah, Gee Gee’s sister, Beryl said the family was at a police station as authorities continued handling the matter and gathering information about the events surrounding her death.
She explained that Gee Gee had been hosting her usual karaoke event on the night before her death before receiving a phone call from a friend who invited her to briefly join a group of people before she headed home.
According to the account shared during the live session, Gee Gee accepted the invitation and travelled to the location where her friend was spending time with several other women.
“Apparently yesterday she was hosting her karaoke as usual. First, we are at the police station now as I speak. After the hosting event, a friend called her and asked her to join them briefly before she went home,” Beryl said.
She said Gee Gee only knew the person who had called and invited her to the venue, while the other women present were not known to her.
Beryl added that the events that followed were captured on CCTV cameras installed at the venue.
She said the footage showed Gee Gee arriving at the venue and later walking towards the washrooms, where she remained for a considerable amount of time.
Beryl said the CCTV footage later showed one of the women who had been seated at the table returning while carrying Gee Gee’s wig.
According to Beryl, the woman was not known to Gee Gee, while her friend who had invited her to the venue also did not know her.
“So she went and when she arrived there, she found the man there and other ladies, and they were sharing tables. So Gee only knew one person, the friend who called her,” she added.
Beryl said the CCTV footage showed Gee Gee later leaving the table and heading towards the washrooms.
She said Gee Gee took longer than expected inside the washrooms before the footage showed a woman from the table returning while carrying her wig.
“And in the CCTV she is seen later going to the washroom and then she took long there. Then a few minutes later one of the ladies from that table, whom Gee did not know and whom her friend did not know, is seen returning to the table carrying her wig,” Beryl said.
She said the situation later attracted the attention of a cleaner who went to check what was happening after noticing Gee Gee lying inside the washrooms.
According to Beryl, the cleaner raised the alarm, prompting people at the venue to intervene and arrange for Gee Gee to be taken to a medical facility.
She said Gee Gee was first taken to a nearby clinic but her condition was already serious and the clinician was unable to save her.
Beryl said she was subsequently taken to a district hospital, where medical personnel confirmed that she had died.
“Then the cleaner later caused alarm after seeing her lying there. She was then taken to the nearest clinic. She was bad and the clinician was unable to help. They took her to the district hospital and they said she had passed,” she said.
