Stevo Simple Boy pays tribute to Stoopid Boy, recalls planned Vijana Tuache Mihadarati remix
By Paulette Mboga, August 28, 2026Stivo Simple Boy has paid tribute to Gbag Na Jug hitmaker Stoopid Boy following his death, recalling their plan to work together on a remix of Vijana Tuache Mihadarati.
Stivo said the planned song was meant to carry an important message to young people about drugs. He explained that they hoped the message would reach many young people and help save lives. However, he said the project did not get the chance to happen.
“RIP, Stoopid Boy. Tulikuwa na mpango wa kufanya pamoja remix ya ‘Vijana Tuache Mihadarati,’ tukiamini kwamba ujumbe huu ungeweza kuwafikia vijana wengi na kuokoa maisha. Kwa bahati mbaya, haikuweza kutimia,” Stivo Simple Boy said on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Stivo urges youth to reject drugs
Stivo said the message behind Vijana Tuache Mihadarati should continue to be shared among young people. He explained that young people should support each other in making choices that can help them choose life. He also sent a message of strength to Stoopid Boy’s family and those who loved him.
“Leo, kwa huzuni, tunakumbushwa kwa mara nyingine jinsi mihadarati inavyoweza kuharibu maisha. Na sio kwa kumhukumu mtu, bali kama somo kwa sisi vijana wote,” Stivo Simple Boy said.
Stivo also called for the continued sharing of the song’s message. He said the planned remix had been part of their effort to reach more young people with the message and help save lives. The project, however, remained unfinished following Stoopid Boy’s death.
“Tuendelee kusema Vijana Tuache Mihadarati na kusaidiana kuchagua maisha. Mungu awape nguvu familia na wote waliompenda. Nenda salama, Stoopid Boy,” Stivo Simple Boy said.
Stoopid Boy, known for the Gbag Na Jug hit, died on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Singer Jay Classic, who was his close friend, confirmed the news in a Facebook video on the same day.
Jay Classic also said Stoopid Boy’s manager, Casto, had arrived at the home as news of the artiste’s death spread. Stivo’s tribute focused on the message they had hoped to share through their planned collaboration. His message also called on young people to continue speaking about the dangers of drug abuse.
