Gospel singer and minister Rozinah Mwakideu has encouraged people to reach out to those who suddenly come to mind.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, she explained that sometimes people may be silently struggling and need support from others. Rozinah said many people ignore such thoughts without knowing someone could be going through a difficult moment.

“Check on that person. You know that person who has been crossing your mind? Mwenye umekua ukimfikiria,” Rozinah Mwakideu said.

She explained that people should not ignore the feeling of wanting to contact someone. According to Rozinah, even a simple call or message can make a big difference in someone’s life. She encouraged people to take action instead of assuming everything is fine.

“Like when you are doing something but somehow unawakumbuka. Check on that person. Mpigie tu simu, ama umtumie text ama …just do something,” Rozinah explained.

Rozinah also spoke about the importance of listening to spiritual guidance. She said many people dismiss certain thoughts because they think it is only their imagination. According to her, there are moments when someone may truly need help or encouragement from another person.

Support beyond social media

“Because many times, the holy spirit speaks to us. We ignore it because we think it is our own mind,” Rozinah Mwakideu said.

She explained that some people may appear okay on the outside while facing personal struggles privately. Rozinah said a person can be going through a difficult season without others noticing. She added that reaching out can help someone feel supported and remembered.

“Sometimes a person needs somebody to reach out to them because they are going through a situation, they are going through a season,” she said.

Rozinah also spoke about how social media has changed communication between people. She explained that many people now see each other online and assume life is going well. According to her, social media does not always show the true situation someone is facing.

“Na siku hizi tumezoea sana kuonana kwa mtandao kidogo kidogo, and then we think people are doing well,” Rozinah said.

She encouraged people to go beyond social media interactions and make direct contact with friends or loved ones. Rozinah explained that simple acts such as calling or sending a message can have a positive impact.
