Rozinah Mwakideu reveals how sharing her own story inspired her next chapter

By , July 1, 2026

Gospel singer and minister Rozinah Mwakideu has opened up about the inspiration behind her new project, revealing that sharing her own story last year led her to create a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of other women.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Rozinah reflected on the impact her personal journey had on those who reached out to her after she spoke publicly about her experiences.

“Some stories survive in silence.
Some women carry crowns no one ever stopped to see,” Rozinah wrote.

According to the gospel singer, women from different walks of life contacted her after hearing her story, sharing experiences of pain, resilience, faith, heartbreak, survival, healing and hope.

The overwhelming response made her realise that many women have powerful stories that deserve to be heard rather than hidden in silence.

“Last year, when I shared my story, women from everywhere quietly reached out to me, carrying pain, resilience, faith, heartbreak, survival, healing, and hope. And I realised… there are so many women whose stories deserve more than silence,” she added.

Inspiration for next chapter

Inspired by those conversations, Rozinah said she decided to launch CROWNED, a YouTube podcast that she describes as a safe space where women can speak freely, heal, be seen, be heard and be celebrated.

“So I created CROWNED. A safe space for women to speak.
 To heal.
 To be seen.
 To be heard.
To be celebrated. To be Queens. To be CROWNED,” she added.

She emphasised that the project goes beyond conversations, saying it is about honouring women and their journeys.

“This is more than a podcast.
This is an honouring,” Rozinah stated.

Additionally, Rozinah also announced that the first episode of CROWNED will premiere on YouTube on Thursday, expressing excitement about introducing viewers to women whose stories she believes will encourage others facing similar challenges.

“Tomorrow we will release our very first episode. And I cannot wait for you to meet the incredible women whose voices will remind others that they are not alone. See you tomorrow as we start this journey together on YouTube, CROWNED by Rozinah Mwakideu. Kindly subscribe and hit the notification button,” she added.

“I’m so excited. In the meantime, stay royal and keep queening.
