Rose Muhando reveals what surprised her about white Christians after weeks in Australia

Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando has said she observed that Africans living in Australia appeared to have a stronger love for God than most white people she encountered during her weeks-long gospel tour in the country.
The ‘Nibebe’ hitmaker made the remarks on Thursday, July 30, 2026, after returning to Tanzania from Australia, where she spent several weeks holding gospel concerts and ministering in various churches.
She reflected on her experience in Australia and said one of the things she learnt during the trip was that people in Tanzania and Australia are fundamentally the same because they were all created by God.
She, however, said she noticed a difference in the level of devotion to Christianity, claiming that Tanzanians have a deep love for God while the people she encountered in Australia did not demonstrate the same level of devotion.
“Here we love God so much, and I have also learnt that there they love God but not so much. Maybe only Africans who are there are the ones who love God as much,” she said.
Muhando said she believed Africans living in Australia were among those who maintained a strong love for God, adding that she also encountered some white people who were deeply devoted to their faith.
“Yeah, and a few whites,” she added.
According to Muhando, her journey went well, and she expressed gratitude for completing her tour without incident.
She recalled leaving Tanzania on June 29 before returning home on Thursday, July 30, 2026, marking the end of several weeks of gospel performances and church ministrations in Australia.
“My journey was all good and I thank God. I left Tanzania on the 29th of last month, which was June, and today I have returned home. I have returned safely and all I can say is all thanks to God,” she said.
Muhando then reflected on what she described as one of the lessons she took away from her time abroad, saying Tanzanians and Australians are all part of the same human family.
“What I have learnt is that us here in Tanzania and them there in Australia, we are the same people, and we are all created by God,” she said.
Emotional goodbye
Muhando’s comments came shortly after she bid Australia an emotional goodbye following weeks of gospel concerts and ministrations across the country.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the singer was seen at an airport in Australia dancing and celebrating what appeared to be the successful conclusion of her tour.
The singer used one of her songs about returning home as the background music to the video as she expressed excitement about heading back to Tanzania.
Muhando thanked God for allowing her to complete the tour and safely begin her journey home after spending weeks connecting with Christians and gospel music lovers in Australia.
In the caption accompanying the video, the songstress revealed that she had missed her people and fans back home and thanked them for waiting for her during her time away.
“Going back home. Niliwamiss sana,” she wrote.
