Prince Indah shares emotional message ahead of Tony Ndiema’s candle-lighting ceremony

In a heartfelt social media post shared on Monday, July 13, 2026, the singer invited fans, friends and supporters to join him at Egesa Villa on Wednesday for the memorial event.
He called on his followers to attend the special candle-lighting ceremony, saying it will be an opportunity to celebrate Tony Ndiema’s life, share memories and find comfort together.
“A single candle wipes out darkness, but a gathering of lights brings eternal warmth,” Prince Indah wrote.
“Please join me for a special candle lighting ceremony on WEDNESDAY at EGESA VILLA as we honour the beautiful memory and legacy of our beloved brother, Tony Ndiema.”
Prince Indah added that the gathering will also serve as a moment for those who knew Tony Ndiema to support one another while keeping his memory alive.
“Let us gather to share memories, find comfort in each other’s presence and keep his light shining bright,” he added.

Programme ahead of burial
According to Tony Ndiema’s family, two candle-lighting ceremonies are scheduled to be held in honour of the late singer.
In a statement shared on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, his family says the first candle-lighting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, July 15, at EGESA Villa, Umoja One, while the second will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at Fine Breeze, Dagoretti Corner.
“The programme leading up to the burial is as follows: Wednesday, 15th July – First Candle Lighting Ceremony at EGESA VILLA Umoja, “Ndiema’s younger brother Mike Msella announced.
“Tuesday, 28th July – Second Candle Lighting Ceremony at FINE BREEZE, Dagoretti Corner.”

The family also thanked Kenyans for the prayers, love and support they have received since his death.
“We thank you all for your continued prayers, love, support, and solidarity as we prepare to give Tony Ndiema a dignified and deserving farewell,” he added.
The candle-lighting ceremony is expected to bring together family, friends, fans and members of the entertainment industry to pay tribute to Tony Ndiema and celebrate the impact he had on those around him.
