Pastor Kanyari criticises women who pay rent and bills for younger partners

Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has cautioned women against dating and financially supporting younger men, popularly referred to as “Ben 10s,” claiming such relationships could end in tragedy.

Speaking during his Wednesday, July 1, 2026, midweek service, the televangelist urged women to stop being attracted to flashy younger men who, according to him, depend entirely on their older partners for survival.

Kanyari argued that some women go as far as paying rent, buying food and meeting all the financial needs of their younger lovers, a trend he said he does not understand.

“Women, please stop obsessing over these flashy men who you see wearing good clothes and mostly jeans,” he said.

He also criticised younger men who bleach their skin in a bid to appear lighter, claiming some women are drawn to them because of their appearance.

“Those men who also like to bleach their skins so they can become brown and men who only you will be providing for… please, you women doing that, know you have a big problem,” he stated.

The preacher questioned why some women are willing to shoulder every financial responsibility in such relationships, including paying house rent and catering for household expenses.

“How can you pay for a house for a man? And you even pay for the food that will be eaten in that house?” he posed.

Kanyari went on to warn that some of the younger men being financially maintained by older women could eventually become dangerous.

“My warning is that those kinds of men are the ones who end up killing people,” he claimed.

The pastor also expressed confusion over what he described as an increasing preference among some women for light-skinned younger men.

“And one thing I also don’t understand: why are women always obsessed with light-skinned men? What do they have?” he asked.

According to Kanyari, Africans should embrace their natural appearance instead of trying to imitate other beauty standards through skin bleaching.

“We are Africans. That’s why I don’t want such soft behaviours. We are black colours,” he said.

He then dismissed the idea of women dating significantly younger men, insisting he sees no value in such relationships.

“So those things to do with women having Ben 10s is a waste. I don’t see why you like them,” he added.
