Oga Obinna explains why he is not ready to commit to one person

Speaking during an interview on Monday, June 15, 2026, Obinna explained that one of the biggest challenges he faces is determining whether someone is genuinely interested in him as a person or attracted to the opportunities that come with his public profile.
Struggles of finding genuine love
According to Obinna, being a public figure has made it difficult to distinguish genuine intentions from hidden motives. He admitted that while people often speculate about his relationships, the reality is more complicated than many assume.
“The tricky part is this: finding a girl who’s genuine with me as Oga Obinna is hard. At this point,” he said.
The content creator went on to address conversations surrounding Miss P and Naomi, two women whose names have frequently appeared in discussions about his love life. He explained that although either of them could be sincere, he has no way of knowing what is truly in someone’s heart.

Obinna said he has openly discussed these concerns with both women, acknowledging that trust is not something that can be established overnight. “Yeah, you see, even what most people don’t know about the situation about Miss P and Naomi is this Miss P may be genuine, Naomi may be genuine. I don’t know,”he stated.
He added that entering a serious relationship without certainty could leave him in the same position he has found himself in before.
“So if I say, okay, cool Miss P or Naomi, let’s try and do this and none of them are genuine, I’m back to where I started,”he added.
The challenge of trust
The media personality noted that relationships can be unpredictable because people often see situations differently. He reflected on past experiences and admitted that even he may not always have been viewed the same way by people he dated. “I’ve had this conversation with them as well. I’ve had it with Naomi, I’ve had it with Miss P. I’m like you might be genuine, but I can’t read your heart,” he said.
Obinna further explained that public figures often face unique challenges in relationships because some people may see them as an opportunity for financial support, visibility or personal gain.
Why commitment is not his focus right now
While he acknowledged that dating remains the only way to truly get to know someone, Obinna said he is currently not in a place where he can fully commit to one person.
He maintained that his current priorities and experiences have made him more cautious when it comes to matters of the heart.
“The only way to find out is if I date you. But now the space I am at the moment, I don’t think I’m gonna commit to one person fully,” he said.
