Nurse Judy opens up about family fallout after her father fell ill
By Paulette Mboga, September 22, 2026Nurse Judy has opened up about the family fallout she experienced after her late father became seriously ill, saying her experience made her view a recent family story differently.
She said the situation reminded her of what happened in her own family when her father fell sick.
Judy said she watched a speech by influencer Lyndah Kebati, popularly known as theelovechild, and noticed that many people were empathising with her story. However, she said she did not have the same reaction because she had experienced a similar situation involving her late father.
“I saw that speech from theelovechild (Lyndah), and everyone was empathising with her kwa comment section while I DIDN’T. I mean, I knew there is the other side of the story to it!” Nurse Judy said on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
Judy explained that her family was the first family and that things changed after her father became very sick. She said his second wife eventually sent him back to her mother, along with his clothes packed in a yellow bag that had a calendar.
Nurse Judy recalls her father’s final days
“We went through this same situation with my late dad; we were the first family, and after my dad got very sick the second wife of a witch sent my dad back to my mom, akamuekea nguo kwa ile bag ya yellow ilikuaga na calendar,” Nurse Judy said.
She said the second family did not visit her father while he was ailing. According to Judy, the situation changed after his death, when members of the second family showed up and became involved in a disagreement over what remained.
“The second family never visited when dad was ailing, but when dad died they were there causing drama and fighting for ata ile pesa kidogo ilibaki,” Nurse Judy said.
Judy further claimed that the second family had already spent most of the money her father had accumulated before his illness. She said her father had been a rich man before his health deteriorated, but his financial situation had changed by the time he died.
“And mark you its the second family that squandered all the money my dad had, he was a rich man before my dad got sick,” Nurse Judy said.
Judy said her own experience was the reason she did not immediately empathise with Lyndah after watching her speech. She explained that having gone through a similar family situation allowed her to consider that there could be another side to the story being discussed.
