Morara Kebaso responds to claims he left his wife for another woman
By William Muthama, September 4, 2026Political activist and Borabu MP aspirant Morara Kebaso has broken his silence amid growing speculation about his marriage and claims that he has moved on with another woman.
Kebaso addressed the matter in an X statement, saying he had initially preferred not to discuss his family publicly but felt compelled to speak after what he described as misinformation began circulating online.
“I will not want to discuss my family on social media,” Kebaso said.
He added that his previous experiences had taught him that remaining silent could allow people to create their own versions of events.
“The absence of factual information makes falsehood the only available information,” he said.
Morara speaks about wife Mercy
In his statement, Kebaso acknowledged Mercy as the mother of his three children and asked Kenyans to accord her respect.
“Mercy has earned her place of high respect as the mother of 3 children,” he said, naming the children as Zainah Morara, Garang Morara and MK Junior.
He further asked the public to respect the way his family chooses to handle its affairs.
“Every home and family has its own way of doing things. Your values are not our values. Your choices are not our choices,” Kebaso said.
His remarks came amid online claims about the state of his marriage and speculation that he had left Mercy for another woman.
Pauline mentioned in Morara’s statement
Kebaso also made a separate reference to a woman named Pauline, saying he supported her work.
“As for Pauline, I think she is doing a great job. 100% support,” he said.
The politician also appeared keen to move the conversation away from his private life and back to his political ambitions.
He said he had the permission and blessing of his family to continue serving the nation and asked Kenyans to allow him to concentrate on his public responsibilities.
“I have the permission and blessing of my family to serve the nation as a leader who can make a difference. Allow me to be laser-focused on that,” he said.
Kebaso concluded by urging people to focus on what needs to be maintained or fixed rather than continuing to fuel speculation about his private life.
