‘Mnaniombea mabaya’: Fardosa responds after section of TikTokers claim she died in hospital
By Steve Ireri, August 19, 2026Turkana TikTok sensation Fardosa has dismissed reports that she died in hospital, saying she is alive and doing well despite persistent rumours about her death.
Speaking in a video shared by her camp helper, Shangazi, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, Fardosa expressed disbelief at the reports, questioning why some people were wishing for her death.
“I am here as Fardosa and I am doing well. I have heard reports from people that I have died. Every hour, people are perpetuating those claims that I have died. I am asking, how can I be dead yet I am here alive?” she said.
Fardosa went on to question why anyone would pray or wish for her to die, warning those spreading the reports against making such wishes.
“Why are you praying and wishing for me to be dead? Maybe those people who are perpetuating those claims are the ones who are going to die and not me. They should not pray such things,” she said.
She also invoked her Christian faith, saying God was watching over her and would continue to protect her.
“They should also know that God is there and He cannot let me die. He protects me and He also protects you all,” she added.
Fardosa further revealed that she had become a born-again Christian and had embraced her faith in Jesus Christ.
“If you do not know, I am also born again and a saved Christian and I love Jesus. He is the saviour of my life,” she said.

The Turkana TikTok sensation also disclosed that she had stopped drinking illicit alcohol, including chang’aa, saying the habit had been leading her astray.
“Even those illicit alcohols I was drinking, like chang’aa, I have quit, and I will not go back to drinking them. I will not again. Because I have seen those alcohols are leading me astray,” she said.
Hospitalisation
Fardosa’s clarification comes days after her hospitalisation sparked concern among her growing legion of followers, with her camp helper Shangazi previously asking fans to pray for her.
“A word of prayer to Fardosa,” Shangazi wrote.
In a video shared on TikTok on Sunday, August 16, 2026, Fardosa was seen being rushed into a hospital in Turkana by several women while sitting weakly in a wheelchair.
She appeared visibly unwell and she kept her eyes closed as though struggling with pain, prompting an outpouring of prayers and messages of concern from her worried fans.
The women accompanying her were also seen carrying an IV drip containing a clear liquid, which had been connected to Fardosa’s hand and was steadily administering the fluid into her body as medical workers attempted to stabilise her.
The women were later seen arriving inside a ward where numerous beds had been arranged, each covered with a mosquito net, before placing Fardosa on one of the beds and leaving doctors to conduct further examinations.
While sitting on the bed, Fardosa appeared increasingly frail and kept staring towards one side, looking weak as fans reacted to the concerning images with prayers and messages of support.
Shangazi used gospel singer Solomon Mkubwa’s hit song Mungu Mwenye Nguvu as the background music while sharing the video, adding to the sombre mood surrounding Fardosa’s condition.
