Lilian Ng’ang’a hints at moving to Coast
By Ascah Mwango, July 28, 2026Former Machakos County First Lady Lilian Ng’ang’a has hinted that she could soon trade city life for the Kenyan Coast, revealing that she is seriously thinking about relocating.
The author shared the update with her followers through her Instagram Stories, where she admitted that the idea has been on her mind and that she already has plenty of questions about what life at the Coast is really like.
She also invited advice from people already living in the region.
“Actually considering moving to the Coast. Who lives here and can answer the many questions that I have about settling?” she wrote.

The Coast has increasingly become a preferred destination for Kenyans looking for a slower pace of life, warmer weather and scenic ocean views. It is not unusual for people to relocate there in search of a different lifestyle, although settling permanently often comes with questions about housing, schools, healthcare, business opportunities and adapting to a new community.
Lilian is no stranger to making major life decisions in the public eye. She first came into the national spotlight during her relationship with former Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, serving as the county’s First Lady before the two parted ways. She later began a relationship with rapper Juliani, whose real name is Julius Owino, and the couple welcomed a son together.
Although she keeps much of her private life away from the spotlight, Lilian has built a name for herself beyond politics and celebrity relationships. She is an author and advocate who regularly shares personal reflections and motivational messages with her followers on social media. She has also spoken openly in the past about embracing change and knowing when it is time to move on to a new chapter in life.
