Kwambox calls out critics defending Stevo Simple Boy after Andrew Kibe interview

Media personality Sheila Kwamboka, popularly known as Kwambox, has reacted after criticism followed Andrew Kibe’s interview in which he made fun of Stevo Simple Boy.

On Friday, July 3, 2026, she questioned why many people only spoke out now, saying there had been little reaction when she and other women had been previously targeted by Kibe.

“Why does it matter when Stevo Simple Boy has been insulted? When he insulted me, unprovoked, nobody said anything. It was content,” Kwambox said.

She explained that she does not understand why the latest remarks have received so much attention. According to her, people remained silent when she was insulted without any reason. She said the same response was missing when other women became the subject of Kibe’s comments.

“When he provoked all the women that he has provoked. From the single women who are ‘useless’, right? To women in general, who are just to be used and dumped, to single mothers. To just living, breathing women. Nobody said anything,” Kwambox said.

Questioning the public reaction

Kwambox said the response changed after Stevo Simple Boy became the target. She argued that the situation raised questions about why similar comments directed at women did not receive the same level of criticism. She said that the difference in reaction stood out to her.

“But the moment he touches another man, all hell broke loose,” Kwambox said.

She went on to say that the current reaction did not convince her. Kwambox explained that she found it difficult to believe the concern being expressed because she felt the same concern had not been shown in previous situations involving women.

“So forgive me for not believing in the pretentious things you guys are doing right now because you are touched that he mentioned Stevo Simple Boy,” Kwambox said.

Kwambox ended her remarks by asking people to think about why they continue following Andrew Kibe despite objecting to his comments. She suggested that this was an important question to consider as the discussion continued following the interview.

“The question here is why are you still listening to Andrew Kibe?” Kwambox said.

Andrew Kibe sparked debate by suggesting that people like rapper Stevo Simple Boy should not have children. The remarks attracted widespread criticism online, with many social media users describing them as insensitive.
