Kartelo reveals the reality of life after becoming a father

Milele FM presenter and comedian Kartelo has opened up about his life at home, offering a candid look at how fatherhood has reshaped his daily routine and interactions with his two children.

Speaking during an interview on Saturday, June 13, 2026, Kartelo said home life is relaxed and filled with constant interaction with his kids, who keep him active throughout the day.

He added that at home, he is just how the public sees him, with no difference between his on-screen personality and his real-life self.

“Mtani tu, miniko tu hivyo hivyo, tu yani venye tu miukuanga. ,” he said.

Kartelo said his home environment is easy-going, with no pressure or strict formalities, describing it as a space where they simply live and enjoy each other.

“Tuna walea, mimi pia pale kazi ya kulea pia na makinika, but Siile serious, siile ati, naweka tension kwa nyumba, hapana, tuko easy tu, yani, tuna jibamba, na wafunza vitu,” he said.

Parenting role

He noted that his children are active and expressive, often interacting with him throughout the day and even challenging him in playful ways.

He added that despite the playful chaos at home, he manages them well and enjoys the experience.

“But niwa manageable, nawezanga kuwa manage. Na wafunza vitu. Pia mi na naji enjoy tu nawo,” he said.

School life moments

Kartelo also shared how involved he is in school activities, saying he attends meetings and engages with other parents.

He added that his presence at school events often draws attention from both parents and children.
