Kairu Wa Ndeiya reveals last WhatsApp message he received from Karangu’s brother before his death
By Steve Ireri, August 3, 2026Popular Kikuyu cross-dressing content creator Kairu Wa Ndeiya has shared the final WhatsApp conversation he had with Joshua Muraya Kagema, the late brother of Facebook influencer and philanthropist Karangu Muraya, shortly before his death.
Kairu shared screenshots of their WhatsApp exchange on Facebook on Monday, August 3, 2026, as he mourned Kagema, revealing that they had been planning to meet and shoot content together before his unexpected death.
In the conversation, Kairu first reached out to Kagema and asked whether he would be available the following day so that they could film together.
“Hey. Uko free kesho tushoot?” Kairu texted Kagema at 9:12 pm.
Kagema responded shortly afterwards, telling Kairu that he was not feeling well but had already taken medication.
“Sisikii pole but nmekunywa dawa. Ntakushow morning,” Kagema replied at 9:43pm.
The response suggested that Kagema intended to update Kairu the following morning on whether he would be available to meet and shoot content.
However, Kagema died before the two could fulfil their plans, leaving Kairu mourning the loss of his friend and reflecting on their final conversation.
While sharing the screenshots of the exchange, Kairu expressed deep heartbreak, saying they had been eagerly waiting for Kagema to return before he died.
“Our last conversation, buddy. We were eagerly waiting for you to come back. You have left us too soon. Oh nooo, wa Cecilia witu. It is not well. Ngaiiiiiii,” Kairu wrote.
Untimely demise
The death of Joshua Kagema was first announced by his elder brother, popular Facebook influencer and philanthropist Karangu Muraya, in a Facebook post the same day.
“Dear bro Joshua Muraya Kagema, you have gone too soon. You promised not to disappoint me, but you have done it, bro,” Karangu wrote.
He also remembered the last words Joshua had shared with him before his death, saying the memory had become even more painful following his passing.
“I remember your last word, Karangu witu, Ngai akuongerere nyingi,” he added.
Overwhelmed by the loss, Karangu admitted that he was struggling to come to terms with the death and did not know how to break the news to their mother.
“I don’t know what to do now, I don’t know what to tell mum. Dear Lord, this is too much for me,” he wrote.
Karangu’s announcement came only hours after he had made an emotional public appeal to God to heal Joshua, who had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
In the earlier post, Karangu said he would continue praying and calling on God until his prayers were answered, pleading for mercy and healing for his brother.
“Dear Lord, I will call you until you answer me. Dear Lord, please remember mercy. Dear Lord, please hear our prayers and heal Joshua. Dear Lord, I have been reminding you every minute to heal my brother Joshua Muraya Kagema,” he wrote.
Karangu said his hope had been strengthened by previous experiences in which he claimed to have witnessed people recover after prayers.
He recalled seeing what he described as God’s healing power while with several people, including Apostle Johnpaul Muriithi, Teresiah Njeri, Deejay Tripple and Njeru Thiga Kenya.
“I have seen with my own eyes what you have done to many. I saw you when I was with Apostle Johnpaul Muriithi. I saw you when I was Teresiah Njeri. I saw you when I was with Deejay Tripple. I saw you when I was with Njeru Thiga Kenya, among many people that you have healed while I was watching,” Karangu wrote.
He then turned his attention to Joshua’s condition in the ICU, pleading with God to spare his brother and restore his health.
“Dear Lord, that ICU bed is not a place for my brother. Please remember mercy and heal him. Give me peace by healing him, dear Lord, for the glory and honour of your holy name,” he wrote.
