The couple spent the day tracking the numbers closely as the channel edged closer to the target. In an earlier Instagram update, Nyawira showed the channel sitting at 999,282 subscribers.

“Haiya!!! Nilisema next week? Makosa ni yangu. The countdown is officially on. by the end of today, we hit ONE MILLION subscribers!!!!” she posted, correcting her earlier forecast.
Before hitting the target, the two recorded a conversational video while inside their car, with Mutua joking that while some people think he does not have Sh1 million in his bank account, he at least has one million people following him.
He expressed excitement about receiving the YouTube Gold Creator Award, saying he was eager to see how the gold plaque looks.

The channel eventually cleared the hurdle, reaching 1,000,000 subscribers. Nyawira captured the exact moment in a follow-up Instagram story.
