IShowSpeed gives Kai Cenat his flowers after legendary move into fashion with VIVET
By Steve Ireri, September 17, 2026American streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed has heaped praise on his friend Kai Cenat after the streamer made a major leap from online entertainment into fashion with the launch of his VIVET clothing brand.
Speed, who has built a close friendship with Cenat through their years in the streaming world, described the move as something special, saying he was genuinely happy to watch his fellow streamer transform his creative ambitions into something much bigger.
“I am not going to lie, chat, I have seen Kai release his new clothes brand VIVET, and I am so happy for him. Like you all don’t understand how visually I see this whole thing,” IShowSpeed said, while speaking in a livestream on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
He went on to explain why Cenat’s transition into fashion resonated with him, pointing to their shared background as streamers and the significance of seeing one of their peers venture into an entirely different creative field.
“How I perceive it is a streamer making it out to launch a clothes brand. I have been streaming my whole life and seeing that a streamer make such a transformation to something even bigger; that is the best stuff,” he said.

IShowSpeed’s message comes after Cenat officially unveiled the first VIVET collection during New York Fashion Week, marking a major new chapter in a career that has largely been built around livestreaming, online entertainment and digital culture.
The debut took place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Cipriani in Lower Manhattan, where Cenat presented VIVET’s inaugural Spring/Summer 2027 collection in a runway show that brought together fashion figures, musicians, internet personalities and fellow streamers.
The presentation featured 41 looks, according to Complex, with the collection covering both menswear and womenswear alongside footwear and leather goods.
For Cenat, however, the runway was the culmination of a much longer journey that began months before the collection finally reached the fashion world.
How Kai Cenat’s VIVET journey began
VIVET had been in the works for nearly a year before the New York Fashion Week debut, with Cenat first publicly introducing the brand in December 2025.
The streamer gradually gave his audience glimpses of the project through design journals, behind-the-scenes videos and images of clothing and accessories, turning the creation of the brand into part of the story itself.
Rather than simply attaching his name to an existing fashion label, Cenat spent months learning about the mechanics of clothing production, including textile manufacturing, pattern-making and leather construction.
V Magazine reported that he travelled to Italy during his nine-month break from his usual streaming schedule, using the period to learn different aspects of fashion production from specialists.
Complex similarly reported that Cenat stepped away from streaming for nine months to concentrate on developing his first collection, with the journey later documented through videos showing him learning how to sew and working with different textiles.
The break from streaming became an important part of the VIVET story, allowing Cenat to concentrate on building the label while developing the skills needed to understand the process behind the clothes he wanted to create.
He eventually returned to livestreaming in July 2026, but continued teasing the fashion project before VIVET’s runway debut was announced.
Inside Cenat’s first VIVET collection
When the collection finally reached the runway, Cenat presented it as a progression through different stages of his design journey.

The show was divided into three acts, beginning with the raw and unfinished aesthetic of his earliest experiments before moving towards increasingly structured and polished designs.
The opening section was anchored by the Beginner Hoodie, which V Magazine described as the first garment Cenat sewed by hand.
The deliberately oversized and misshapen hoodie represented the starting point of his fashion journey before the collection gradually moved into heavier outerwear, slim denim, boots and layered leather pieces.
The final act introduced more sophisticated tailoring, silk and polished leather coats, illustrating the progression from the early, rougher pieces into a more developed fashion language.
