I have stage 4 endometriosis: Natalie Githinji reveals diagnosis after ICU discharge
By Valerian Khakayi, August 18, 2026Media personality Natalie Githinji has revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis after undergoing surgery and spending time in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Natalie, on Tuesday evening, August 18, 2026, shared the update after being discharged from the ICU, saying she was now recovering in a hospital room but was not yet in her best condition.
The medical procedure came amid the confirmation of what she described as her worst nightmare.
“Finally out of ICU today, now recovering in the room but not in my best condition yet…. Mentally, physically and emotionally trash. My worst nightmare has been confirmed: I have stage 4 endometriosis,” Natalie wrote.
She has also described stage 4 endometriosis as the most severe form of the condition, explaining that it can involve widespread deep tissue implants, large ovarian cysts known as endometriomas and thick scar tissue that can bind pelvic organs together.

“Stage 4 endometriosis is the most severe form of the disease. It features widespread deep tissue implants, large ovarian cysts called endometriomas, and thick scar tissue that can bind pelvic organs together, sometimes causing a ‘frozen pelvis’,”she explained.
Natalie appeals for support
Beyond sharing her diagnosis and recovery journey, Natalie raised concerns about the financial burden associated with endometriosis.
She called for more attention to women’s reproductive health and asked people who could help her understand how to sign a petition seeking the inclusion of endometriosis and women’s reproductive health in the Social Health Authority (SHA) to contact her.
“The financial situation for endometriosis is trash. If you can help me understand how to sign a petition for endometriosis and women’s reproductive health to be included kwa SHA, please send me an email,” she appealed.

The media personality further said she was also willing to work with businesses as she seeks ways to support herself during her recovery.
“If you want to market your business on my Insta stories to support me, please dm me… Just for 5k and for any other business, send me an email… I’m ready to work with you all. This is my email nataliegithinjibrand@gmail.com,” Natalie wrote.
The latest update comes a day after Natalie underwent surgery after being admitted to hospital following an endometriosis flare. Her friend Laura Mbatha had earlier confirmed that Natalie went into surgery at 2pm on Monday, August 17, and was placed in the ICU under observation.
