How did Mum die?: Baba Talisha opens up about daughter’s heartbreaking question

In a touching social media post, shared on Monday, July 13, 2026, Baba Talisha revealed that Baby Talisha innocently asked him one of the hardest questions he has ever had to answer.
“Today, Baby Talisha visited her mom’s grave. She looked at me with innocent eyes and asked, “Daddy, how did Mommy die?”” Baba Talisha wrote.
He said he told his daughter the painful truth that her mother died in a road accident. He also explained that although she cannot remember it, she was involved in the accident as a baby.
“I told her the hardest truth I’ve ever had to say—that Mommy died in a road accident. I also told her something she’ll only understand when she’s older… that she was there too, just a little baby, even though she can’t remember any of it,” he added.

Baba Talisha further revealed that his daughter asked another emotional question after finding out how her mother died.

“Then she asked, “Where is Mommy now?” Baba Talisha wrote.
“I told her, “She’s up in the skies, watching over you every single day.” She smiled and said, “Let’s go.”And so we quietly left the graveyard, carrying both love and heartbreak with us.”

Six years after wife’s death
Reflecting on the loss, Baba Talisha said six years have passed since his wife’s death, but the pain of her absence remains.
“Six years have passed, but not a single day goes by without your absence being felt. We miss your laughter, your love, and the beautiful life we dreamed of together,” Baba Talisha stated.
He added that their daughter will grow up knowing the kind of woman her mother was through the stories, memories, and love she left behind.
“Talisha will grow up hearing about the incredible woman you were. Through our stories, our memories, and the love you left behind, she’ll always know her mother,” he added.
“Six years gone. Forever loved. Forever missed.”
