‘God of second chances’ – content creator Hochdeh speaks after cheating death on Sagana highway

Kenyan digital creator Hoch Muhoro, popularly known as Hochdeh, has opened up about surviving a road accident on the highway towards Sagana, describing the experience as a reminder that his purpose in life is not yet fulfilled.
In an Instagram post shared today, September 19, 2026, Hochdeh revealed that the accident happened the previous night while he was travelling with a friend.
“Last night I escaped with my life,” he said, expressing gratitude after surviving what he described as a terrible road accident.
Hochdeh describes accident
According to Hochdeh, the accident happened while it was raining heavily, leaving the roads slippery.
He said he ended up hitting a lorry from behind, but he and his friend were able to walk out of the vehicle alive.
“It was raining heavily and the roads were a bit slippery. I ended up hitting a lorry from behind. And honestly, God that we were able to walk out alive,” he said.
The digital creator disclosed that he sustained a slight bruise on his head and was experiencing pain on his right side.
He said he went to hospital after the accident and was informed that he had muscle injuries.
“I have a slight bruise on my head, as you can see, and my right side is in a bit of pain. I went to the hospital, I was told that it’s just muscle injuries,” he explained.
God of second chances
The accident prompted Hochdeh to reflect on his life and purpose, with the creator saying he believed surviving the crash was God’s way of reminding him that his purpose had not yet been fulfilled.
He also acknowledged that he needed time to process the trauma, especially after seeing the condition of the car following the crash.
“I think I need to process this trauma a bit, because seeing that car after the accident, it was a whole different experience,” he said.
In his caption, Hochdeh described God as a “God of second chances” and thanked the people who supported him after the incident.
Hochdeh thanks those who helped
Hochdeh gave a shout-out to police officers who arrived from Sagana and the lorry driver, whom he identified as Jack, describing him as understanding.
He also thanked his friends who came through for him during what he described as “one hell of a night.”
The experience prompted Hochdeh to urge motorists to exercise caution on the roads, particularly during rainy weather.
“One thing I want you guys to take from all this is just be careful on the roads, especially now that it’s raining. Slippery roads can change anything in seconds,” he said.
