George Ruto’s Mood driver Lenny shows off sleek finishes of new nganya they are set to launch
By Steve Ireri, September 23, 2026George Ruto’s Mood driver Lenny has given fans a glimpse of a new city nganya that is undergoing extensive customisations ahead of its launch on the Rongai route.
In videos shared on TikTok on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Lenny is seen walking around the vehicle as several men worked on it, including some who were applying white paint as part of its elaborate finishes.
Clad in a football jersey bearing his name, Lenny first inspected some of the striking modifications that had been added to the rear of the matatu before moving on to check the progress of the calligraphic work being done on its body.
The new matatu has been dubbed ‘Eccentric’ and is set to have popular city driver Gateru among the drivers behind its wheel.
In a separate video, Lenny is seen meeting other people affiliated with the nganya as they waited for Gateru to arrive.
The two exchanged warm greetings before proceeding to inspect the vehicle together, appearing impressed by its new look and the white customisations that had been added to its exterior.
More footage was subsequently shared by content creator Local Rapper, who was present during the meet-up and offered a closer look at the different stages the matatu had gone through during its transformation.
The footage showed workers undertaking various modifications, including calligraphic designs and the installation of stickers bearing Gateru’s name on the driver’s side window.
Local Rapper has also addressed the growing attention surrounding his frequent updates about Eccentric, explaining that he is involved in the project and remains committed to sharing its progress.
In a video, Local Rapper said he had noticed conversations questioning why he had been providing more updates about the nganya and whether he was somehow not involved in the project.
“I have seen the conversation about why I have been giving more updates on the nganya Eccentric and that I am not concerned. Let me clear the air: I am in this whole thing. I am in,” Local Rapper said.
He also explained that some content creators had prematurely shared glimpses of the nganya’s interior and exterior despite the intention of keeping the vehicle under wraps until its official reveal.
“But content creators, some did a bad thing because they started sharing glimpses of the interior and exterior of the nganya, yet it was to be a surprise by us. They have even revealed the face card,” he said.
Local Rapper, however, said he would not confront or privately message the creators over the early footage, noting that everyone was pursuing content in their own way.
“I cannot go after them or DM them because everyone is doing content. Let them continue, but the newest updates about that mat will be here,” he added.
