Former Stoopid Boy manager Castro explains how he saw the musician’s death coming
By Paulette Mboga, September 6, 2026Former Stoopid Boy manager Castro says he somehow saw the musician’s death coming, linking his fears to the loss of Stoopid Boy’s brother and the effect the death had on him.
Castro said he and Stoopid Boy were very close and described their relationship as being more like brothers. He recalled how the musician would come to his place and shout from downstairs, asking him to open the door, showing how close they had become.

Castro explained that their relationship grew around music, including the recording of the song Gbag na jug. He said the song trended and Stoopid Boy recognised him as someone who had his hit songs, further describing the level of their relationship.
Castro said the loss of Stoopid Boy’s brother was one of the reasons he became concerned about his wellbeing. He explained that the two brothers were very close and that the loss had a strong effect on Stoopid Boy.
“Somehow I saw it coming because, remember, he had lost his brother and hiyo ilimuaffect sana. I felt like…maybe depression itakuja kum hit because of his brother na yeah, somehow hiyo ilichangia to level flani,” Castro said.
The loss of his brother
Castro said Stoopid Boy’s brother played an important role in his life, making the loss especially difficult for him. He explained that the brother had been someone who was very close to the musician and had also played a role in his life.

According to Castro, Stoopid Boy may have felt increasingly alone after losing his brother. He explained that the separation from his mother was also part of the situation that he believed affected the musician.

Castro said the loss of his brother therefore remained a major concern for him when he looked at Stoopid Boy’s situation. He explained that he felt the experience had affected the musician and could contribute to depression.
