Content creator Eve Mungai has opened up about the body-shaming she experienced when she weighed 43 kg, revealing that comments about her appearance once left her in tears.

Taking to her official Instagram account on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, Eve recalled how people would constantly comment on her weight, despite her being naturally slim at the time.

“Gosh, hapa kgs zilikuwa zimekatalia 45, yooh, you guys bullied me hadi nikalia kwa hii interview,” Eve said, reflecting on the period when her weight was around 43 kg.

Her remarks highlight the pressure she faced over her body before embarking on a fitness journey that would later see her gain weight and become more comfortable with her appearance.

Weight journey

Eve has previously spoken publicly about her changing body and the criticism that came with it.

In December 2025, she revealed that she had reached 62 kg, which she described as the heaviest she had ever been.

At the time, Eve said she had been consistently going to the gym for three months, having started her workouts on October 6.

“This is the 3rd month now; I started on October 6th and I love it here. Current weight is 62kgs,the heaviest I have ever been, but yeah, I wouldn’t want to lose or gain,” she said in an Instagram post.

The content creator later faced another wave of comments from people who wanted her to return to her previous body.

In January 2026, Eve pushed back against critics of her transformation, saying she should be allowed to decide what version of herself she wants.

“You do not get to choose what version of me you like; you will prefer whatever body I decide to have because this is my world, not yours,” she said.

Eve also explained that gaining weight had not been an easy process, making the criticism particularly difficult given her earlier struggles with being considered too thin.

Her latest revelation offers another perspective on her fitness journey, showing that she has faced criticism at different stages of her body transformation.

From being bullied over her 43kg frame to being criticised after gaining weight, Eve’s experience reflects the scrutiny public figures can face over their physical appearance.
