Emotional farewell as Pastor Pam Oyola is laid to rest

Family, friends, fellow clergy and members of Deliverance Church Umoja gathered on Friday, July 31, 2026,to bid an emotional farewell to Rev Pastor Pam Dreda Oyola during her burial in Karateng, Nyabera, Chulaimbo, Kisumu County.

The beloved preacher was laid to rest just over two weeks after her death on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, bringing to a close days of mourning that saw Christians from across the country pay tribute to her life of faith and service.

A life dedicated to ministry

Pastor Pam served as the overseer of the Youth and Teens (TMG) Ministry at Deliverance Church Umoja, where she was widely known for her passionate preaching, mentoring young people and unwavering commitment to sharing the Gospel.

In announcing her passing earlier this month, Deliverance Church Umoja described her as a courageous woman who remained steadfast in her faith until the very end.

“Pastor Pam was a woman of unwavering faith, a courageous fighter who lived by and believed the Word of God until the very end,” the church said.

Emotional final send-off

The burial attracted a large congregation of family members, friends, fellow clergy and worshippers who gathered to celebrate Pastor Pam’s life and bid her a final farewell.

Among those in attendance was Bishop JB Masinde, who joined other church leaders in paying his final respects during the emotional ceremony.

Pastor Pam’s husband, Pastor Ken Oyola, together with other family members, was present throughout the service as loved ones celebrated her life through prayers, worship and heartfelt tributes.

She is survived by her husband, Pastor Ken Oyola, and their two sons, Brighton and Brayden.

Her burial marked the final event in a series of memorial activities held in her honour, bringing to a close an outpouring of grief while celebrating a life devoted to God, ministry and raising a generation of young believers grounded in faith.
