DJ Soxxy endorses Edwin Sifuna for president

Kenyan DJ and entertainer DJ Soxxy has endorsed Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna for president, adding his voice to growing support for the politician ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Soxxy made his position known after paying a courtesy call on Sifuna at his Nairobi office on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, where the two discussed leadership, governance and Sifuna’s plans for the country.

“Paid a courtesy call to the incoming president H.E @edwinsifuna this morning at his Nairobi office. Held a conversation around leadership and governance and his plan for this country,” Soxxy said.

He went on to declare his support for Sifuna, saying he believes the Nairobi senator is the right person to lead the country.

“He is indeed the right candidate for president of the Republic of Kenya,” he added.

Soxxy also used the hashtag #SisiNdioSifuna, a slogan that has increasingly been used by supporters backing Sifuna’s potential presidential bid.

More Kenyans rally behind Sifuna

Soxxy’s endorsement comes amid growing political activity around Sifuna and the Linda Mwananchi movement.

The movement has been pushing a message of fresh leadership, with supporters calling on Sifuna to consider seeking the presidency in 2027. In July, Sifuna said Linda Mwananchi was strongly considering fielding a presidential candidate after receiving calls from supporters across the country.

Sifuna, however, stopped short of formally declaring his candidacy at the time, saying the movement was still consulting supporters and assessing whether its national support was strong enough to mount a presidential campaign.

He also indicated that he would be willing to carry the movement’s flag if supporters ultimately settled on him.

“There is no day a responsibility will be placed on me, and then I run away; we have to answer the call of the country,” Sifuna said, according to The Eastleigh Voice.

The political conversation around Sifuna has continued to gain momentum, with the Linda Mwananchi movement already positioning itself as a possible alternative ahead of the 2027 polls.

Soxxy’s latest endorsement therefore adds another public voice to the growing Sisi Ndio Sifuna campaign, as supporters continue to rally behind the senator and call for him to seek the presidency.
