Celestine Ndinda jokes about Ruiru mysterious biting reports and asks for safety tips

Content creator Celestine Ndinda has reacted to reports of a mysterious attacker said to be biting people in Ruiru.

Her post came after reports emerged of residents raising concern over a person who has been attacking victims at night by biting them.

“Guys, share tips on how you can avoid being bitten by a vampire in Ruiru. Yaani Ruiru tuko na vampire diaries?” Celestine Ndinda said on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

The reports have drawn the attention of police, who confirmed they are aware of the incidents. Ruiru OCPD Charles Kibathi said investigations are ongoing and officers have already put measures in place as they work to identify the person behind the attacks.

“Tumeweza kupata hii habari na tunahakikisha ya kwamba yao watu waliumwa na mtu hajulikani….Hatujaweza kupata huyu mtu lakini tumeweka mikakati,” Charles Kibathi said.

Residents have also spoken about the fear created by the reported attacks. Some said they no longer feel safe because the suspect is still at large and the incidents have left many people worried.

Residents describe reported attacks

“Ruiru hatukai na amani. Tumeshangaa sana na huyu jamaa ambaye anauma uma watu kama vile aliuma kijana mwingine pale kwa mdomo. Tunashindwa ni nini,” resident Severino Githenji said.

One of the reported victims, Daniel Ndegwa, said he was attacked while walking to a shop in the evening. He explained that he struggled with the suspect before he was bitten on his left hand during the confrontation.

“Nilivamiwa na mtu masaa ya jioni ya saa tatu nikienda dukani. Tulivurugana na yeye akaniuma kidole, kwa mkono yangu ya left,” Daniel Ndegwa said.

Another resident, Esther Njeri, also described an incident involving her son. She said he had gone out to change money when he came across Daniel struggling with the suspected attacker.

“Kijana yangu alishikwa wakati alienda kuchange. Wakati alikuja alipata huyu Daniel wanang’ang’ana na huyu mtu, wameangushana chini,” Esther Njeri said.

Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the reported attacks. They have, however, confirmed that investigations are continuing as they work to trace the suspect while residents remain on alert following the incidents reported in the area.

TikToker Swings Mauno has also cautioned residents to be careful after police confirmed the reports.

“Ruiru people, I have heard reports of people being bitten by a fellow human being. Tell us who it is so we can be alert when we visit,” Swings Mauno said.

“Now you guys will be travelling wearing helmets like boda boda riders because I hear the person who is biting people is targeting the cheeks and parts of the face,” he added.
