Comedian Eddie Butita has described the FIFA World Cup third-place playoff between France and England as a match that looked like a PlayStation game after the two teams produced an action-filled contest.

England went on to beat France 6-4 in a match that had goals from both sides and many dramatic moments.

“France Vs England felt like a PlayStation Game 4-6,” Butita said on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

England came into the match after missing out on a place in the World Cup final. The team had lost to Argentina in the semifinals after giving away a late lead. France had also failed to reach the final after losing to Spain.
