2Mbili denies claims he influenced Majembe to withdraw from Vurugu 2
By William Muthama, June 11, 2026Content creator 2Mbili has clapped back at Comedian Oga Obinna, strongly denying claims that he convinced boxer Majembe to pull out of the upcoming Vurugu 2 fight event.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, June 11, 2026, 2Mbili dismissed the accusations, saying he is being unfairly dragged into internal disputes around the fight event.
“Stop dragging my name,” he said, adding that the claims were false and repetitive.
He reminded Obinna of their long-standing relationship, saying he was among the first people to support the Vurugu boxing project.

“Bro, I respect you so much… I’m the one who gave you Majembe when you decided to do that, before even you named it Vurugu,” he said.
He insisted their bond had always been built on mutual support. “Your win has always been my win,” he added.
Interview link explained
2mbili clarified that his only involvement with Majembe was through an interview arranged by his manager. He said he only learned of Majembe’s withdrawal during the recording itself.
“God can bear me witness,” he said, rejecting claims of sabotage or behind-the-scenes influence.
He further questioned why he would sabotage someone he considers close, referencing their shared history.
“I am ashamed as my brother, as someone who has slept even in the same bed with you, bro,” he said.
He added that Majembe and his manager had been avoiding him, suggesting external influence in their communication breakdown.

Despite the tension, he urged Obinna to handle disagreements privately.
“If you feel there is an issue, just call me,” he said.
He warned that this was not the first time his name had been dragged into controversy.
“Let it be the last time, bro,” he added.
About the Vurugu fight
The Vurugu event is a celebrity boxing series organised by Obinna that blends entertainment, influencer rivalries and live fight nights.
The first edition saw Majembe face Mbavu the Destroyer at Kasarani, where he won after a heated bout that ended in a technical knockout.
The event attracted huge attention online, with winners walking away with cash prizes and other rewards, turning the fights into one of Kenya’s most talked-about entertainment spectacles.
