USA-based Kenyan TikToker Captain Sammir has walked down the aisle with his wife, fellow TikToker Gilo Ntinyari, just days after his ex-lover and long-time girlfriend Hanna Benta welcomed a newborn baby.

The wedding was held inside a Catholic church in Meru, where Gilo hails from, and was attended by members of the local Meru community, Captain Sammir’s family members, and Gilo’s close relatives.

In a TikTok livestream shared on Saturday, January 3, 2026, Captain Sammir is seen walking Gilo down the aisle inside the church as attendees sang local Meru wedding songs, creating a vibrant and culturally rich atmosphere.

A priest who was dressed in a white cassock went ahead to bless the couple and prayed for them before they slid rings onto each other’s fingers and said their vows.

In the same video, bridesmaids who were dressed in green dresses could be seen dancing and singing as Sammir and Gilo went ahead to sign their marriage certificates.

The church wedding later ended, and Gilo and Sammir went ahead with their reception, a neat and intimate celebration where Gilo went live on TikTok and showed herself dancing joyfully with her new husband as guests cheered them on.

Emotional day

Just hours before walking down the aisle, Captain Sammir went live on TikTok and narrated how overwhelmed and nervous he was as the reality of his big day finally sank in.

The USA-based TikToker admitted that his emotions were heightened, describing the moment as one of the biggest and most meaningful days of his life.

Sammir revealed that his nerves were not rooted in fear but in gratitude, explaining that he felt incredibly lucky and did not want to take the day for granted.

“Nervous is an understatement. I am beyond nervous. When I think about today and everything that is happening, I won’t even say much; I will just say that I am a very lucky man,” Sammir said.

The TikToker also disclosed that he was struggling to calm himself, even drinking water during the livestream in an attempt to soothe his nerves ahead of the ceremony.

He openly acknowledged his shy and emotional nature, confessing that he was worried he might break down in tears the moment he saw his bride walking down the aisle.

“I am nervous ahead of the wedding, and I am even drinking some water to calm myself down. I am nervous because this is a good day and a very big day. I am not taking it for granted at all,” he said.

According to Sammir, once he starts crying, stopping would be difficult, prompting him to jokingly ask viewers whether they had handkerchiefs ready to wipe his tears as he prepared to become a husband.

“You all know I am shy and emotional, so I am just trying to make sure I do not cry when I see my wife. If I start crying, it will be very hard to stop me. Do you guys have handkerchiefs ready to wipe my tears?” he said.
