Captain Sammir responds to claims he won’t support baby he sired with Hanna Benta
By Steve Ireri, January 5, 2026USA-based Kenyan TikToker Captain Sammir has addressed rumours surrounding his involvement in the life of his newborn child with ex-partner Hanna Benta, saying he is willing to support the baby.
Speaking during a TikTok live with self-proclaimed TikTok president Nyako on Monday, January 5, 2026, Sammir fervently refuted claims that he intends to abandon his responsibilities.
“I have said clearly that I am the one who swallowed my pride. I am a very proud person. I reached out to her and told her to stop this drama and focus on the baby, because it’s about the baby and not about us,” Sammir said.
Reports of him shirking his responsibilities as a father began circulating after Hanna delivered her newborn at Komarock Hospital, weeks after their dramatic breakup aired on TikTok.
Speaking about the developments, Sammir explained that he has consistently reached out to Hanna, urging her to focus on the child rather than their past disagreements.
He noted that while Hanna insisted she could manage the baby alone, he is ready to step in whenever his support is needed.
He emphasised that his priority is the well-being of the child, not the personal conflicts between him and her.
“I am the one who texted her, and she can even reveal that text. Instead of listening, Hanna just kept threatening me that she could support the child alone. I told her to do what she wants, because she was even saying she would drop me from that TikTok live, and I told her to do so if she wanted, because I was not there for her but for the baby,” Sammir said.

He also addressed the online debate regarding the child’s paternity, stressing that he has always acknowledged the baby as his own.
Sammir expressed frustration over conflicting narratives that Hanna had given on social media, but maintained that he has remained calm and focused on the child’s best interests.
“I told her that if she says she is okay with the baby, then it’s okay. If she needs my help, I will be there. I have been on TikTok for days crying and saying that the baby is mine, but she has been giving her own narrative that the baby is not mine. So I have done nothing,” he added.
The development, which had seemingly gone off the radar, gained attention following Sammir’s wedding to Gilo Ntinyari in Meru, which took place on Saturday, January 3, 2025, just days after Hanna gave birth.
The lavish Catholic ceremony, shared widely on TikTok, included traditional songs, dancing, and a reception streamed live by the bride.
