Brian Chira’s grandma cleans his grave in emotional tribute 2 years after his passing
By Steve Ireri, March 17, 2026Brian Chira’s grandmother, Esther Njeri, has taken time to wash the tombstone of his grave in an emotional move, marking exactly two years since he was called to be with his Maker.
In a video shared on her TikTok page on Monday, March 16, 2026, the grandmother is seen pouring detergent on the well-cemented grave and scrubbing it so the inscriptions on the tombstone could be seen clearly.
She then used a piece of cloth to wipe the grave clean, leaving thousands of TikTokers, who were fans of Chira, reacting emotionally.
While sharing the video, Esther used the song ‘One Call’ by Otile Brown as the background song, reminding many of how emotions ran high when Otile performed it during his burial.
She then referred to Chira as her son and made an emotional prayer to God regarding his rest in eternity.
“Rest in peace, my son,” the grandma wrote.
Emotional tributes
In a separate video, Brian Chira’s grandmother posed with Manzi wa Mombasa, who was part of Chira’s inner circle, and together they spoke sweet words to his soul.
Manzi wa Mombasa revealed that they had found it important to visit the grave on that day because it was precisely two years ago when he lost his life in a horrific hit-and-run accident.
“Hi guys, today we remember the late Brian Chira, and it’s the date 16 March, and it’s when he died, and that’s why we have come to visit his grave,” she said.
While at the grave, she also revealed that their plans included cleaning the tombstone and the areas around the grave.

She further explained that the initiative was intended for all fans who loved the late TikToker, but because of the ghastly nature of the plans, many were unable to attend.
However, she appreciated that many had sent warm tributes in remembrance of Chira’s second death anniversary and prayed to God to continue giving him peace as he rests in eternity.
“It was cemented, and we have come to wash and clean the areas around it, and after that we will place fresh flowers on it and then go home. We came alone, but many people have also sent tributes, including Jude Magambo, who sent a very warm tribute,” Manzi wa Mombasa added.
