Bensoul: My relationship has lasted 3 years because it’s not on social media

In a YouTube interview on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, he said he is in a serious relationship and believes privacy has helped it grow. Speaking openly, the singer explains that keeping love private has reduced pressure and allowed the relationship to remain stable.
“I am in a serious relationship,” Bensoul said.
“Mimi mwenyewe najiwekea warning. Ukipenda mtu pia unajiwekea warning. Iko fiti.” He explained that being careful with love has helped him stay grounded and focused on what matters to him.
Bensoul adds that the relationship has now lasted about three years.
“It has been like 3 years,” he says. He notes that stepping back from sharing personal moments online has made a big difference in how he lives his life and handles his relationship.
The singer says he stopped posting about his love life, and many people now assume different things.
“Uzuri saa hizi ni vile niliwacha kuipost sana so watuwengi wanadhani ahh,” he said, adding, “Lakini ni vizuri hivyo I don’t have anybody to answer to.”
Why Bensoul keeps his relationship private
Asked what has helped the relationship last this long, Bensol is clear about his choice.
“I feel like keeping it away from the public because it is not for them,” he said.
He believes that some aspects of life should remain private and not subject to public scrutiny.
He also explains that his partner’s current activities play a role in that decision. “Halafu pia, vitu anafanya saa hii, hazi entail yeye kukua social media,” Bensol said. This, he adds, makes it easier to stay off online platforms as a couple.
Bensol says everyone should do what works for them.
“Wenye wanataka kupostiana wacha wapost,” he said for him, keeping things quiet has brought peace and balance, allowing the relationship to grow without outside pressure.
Before his current relationship, Bensol was dating Noni Gathoni after he came into the limelight. The two later broke up. He later started dating Cindy K, and Bensol says they are still dating.
By choosing not to post about his love life now, Bensol says he has put rumours of a breakup to rest. He maintains that his relationship is stable and that staying off social media has helped keep it that way.
