‘Being a stepmom is not for the faint-hearted’ – Baba Talisha says as he defends 2nd wife
By Valerian Khakayi, February 28, 2026Digital content creator and photographer Faustine Lukale, widely known as Baba Talisha, has come to the defence of his second wife, businesswoman Wanjiru C Wanjiru , widely known as Miss Wanjey amid online criticism about her parenting skills.
In a statement shared on his official social media account on Saturday, February 28,2026, Babab Talisha highlighted the strength, love, and courage it takes to be a stepmother.
He also addressed the criticism and trolling his wife has faced online adding that the society is full of judgmental people who are quick to judge others no matter what.
The digital content creator further added that loving a child you did not give birth to or sire is the most different kind of strength.

“Being a stepmother is not for the faint-hearted. I have seen your mean comments,”Baba Talisha wrote.
“Wanjiku C Wanjiru stepped into Talisha’s life with love, courage, and a pure heart and that’s what truly matters. Society will judge you left, right and centre. No matter how hard you try, some people will still say it’s not enough. But choosing to love a child you didn’t give birth to is a different kind of strength.”
He acknowledged the sacrifices that stepmothers make every day, often without recognition.
“To every stepmother out there,I see you. The silent sacrifices, the patience, the tears, the prayers. May God’s grace be sufficient for you. May He strengthen you when the world misunderstands you, and reward you for every act of love you give,” he added.
“Love is what makes a mother and that kind of love should be respected.”

Wanjiru on Talisha

Taking to her official Instagram account on Sunday, December 14, 2025, she narrated how she has watched Talisha achieve and relearn milestones.

She further proudly shared how Talisha will be turning 8 years old on December 29, 2025.
“When I met you, you barely had speech. I have watched you relearn milestones and grow into this amazing little human, and now we’re here… turning 8 on 29th December,” Miss Wanjey wrote, capturing both pride and emotion.
