Beba kifagio: Eric Omondi calls on Kenyans to join clean-up drive ahead of Uhuru Park event

By , March 13, 2026

Eric Omondi has called on Kenyans to take part in a city clean-up drive ahead of a major event scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Uhuru Park.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page on Friday, March 13, 2026, the comedian-turned-activist urged members of the public to support the initiative by sending videos or photos of themselves holding brooms. He asked supporters to post the images using the hashtag #FagiaNairobi, or share them through the contact number he provided.

Omondi said he would be reposting the submissions throughout the day as part of preparations for the clean-up exercise. He also encouraged participants to attend the Uhuru Park gathering at 8:00 a.m., carrying brooms and ready to take part in the activity.

“Friday. Please send me Videos or Photos of Yourselves with a broom on 0726959111 or post and tag me with the Hashtag #FagiaNairobi. I will be posting them all day today in Preparation for Tomorrow’s major clean-up in the City. Kesho Tukutane Uhuru Park 8am. Beba Kifagio,” Eric Omondi wrote in one of the posts.

The initiative, which he announced days earlier this week, is part of his ongoing civic engagement efforts that focus on public participation and community responsibility. Through his social media platforms, Omondi has in the past mobilised supporters for charity drives and public campaigns aimed at addressing social and environmental issues.

The upcoming clean-up comes amid continued concerns about waste management in Nairobi, where littering and blocked drainage systems have contributed to sanitation challenges, especially during the rainy season. Community clean-up exercises have increasingly become a way for residents, youth groups, and public figures to encourage environmental responsibility.
