Azziad questions one-day romance as Valentine’s pressure finally ends
By Paulette Mboga, February 15, 2026Content creator Azziad Nasenya questioned the idea of one-day romance as Valentine’s pressure came to an end.
In a message shared online on Sunday, February 15, 2026, she said she was relieved the day was over and asked why love seems to peak on one date only. Her words came as many people marked Valentine’s Day with public displays of gifts and messages on February 14, 2026.
“Good morning, beautiful people, Valentine’s imeisha,” she said.
“Oh my God, I was waiting for that day to end.”
She questioned why love appears limited to one day, adding, “Kwani huwa hampendani siku zingine? mnangoja tu hiyo siku moja?”

Her comments pointed to the pressure many feel during the day.
Valentine’s was yesterday, and there was a lot of pressure on social media as girls showed the gifts they received. The tone online made the day feel serious for many people. Azziad’s remarks reflected that mood and the sense that the day brings stress as well as joy.
Message from the NPS
Attention also turned to public safety messages shared by the National Police Service, NPS. The Service posted its official Valentine’s Day message to Kenyans.
“As the world comes together to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the National Police Service extends heartfelt wishes to all Kenyans,” the statement read.

The service urged people to act with care and stay alert. It asked citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. This message came as celebrations continued across the country and people moved around late into the evening.
The Service also said love is more than gifts and words.
“Valentine’s Day is a powerful reminder that love transcends words and gifts,” the statement read.
It added that love is shown through service, sacrifice, and loyalty to the country.
The message linked love to duty and care for others. The service said its mission is rooted in love for the nation and for the people it serves and protects. This note aimed to guide people to celebrate responsibly.
With Valentine’s now over, the pressure seen online has eased.
