Nairobi Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has sought help in tracing a young man who was caught on camera intervening in a conflict pitting a woman against a man on a motorbike.

The undated video, which went viral on social media, shows a man on a motorbike and the woman in an altercation which turned violent as a sizeable crowd appeared to enjoy the drama.

The man unsuccessfully attempts to intervene and resolve the conflict, but the efforts bear no fruit. He eventually gives up, with the crowd pulling away from the conflict, allowing the man and the woman to sort out their differences.

Mosiria’s reaction

The video caught the eye of Mosiria, who remarked that the young man who had good intentions must have had a long day with netizens tagging him.

According to Mosiria, such experiences are a frequent reality in his life as he steps out every day trying to resolve problems.

The Chief Officer put out a statement on his social media on Monday, March 23, 2026, appreciating the young man’s experience despite the outcome of his attempt to intervene.

“Uyu Comrade amekua na siku Mrefu Jameni! I’ve seen several tags from concerned Kenyans about this young man who went out there trying to solve problems for mwananchi, just like I usually do here in Nairobi County, lakini wueh… things went sideways for him real quick,” he stated.

Why Mosiria wants to meet the man

The head of customer service requested that anyone who might link him up with the young man do so.

“‎Ata nyinyi mmeona hii kazi haikuangi rahisi kabisa. Mtu anamjua amwambie namtafuta nimpee more lessons and guidance on how to approach such matters. Lakini Wakenya tuko na mambo mob sana‎,” he added.

This loosely translates to: “You have seen for yourselves that this work is not easy. Anyone who knows him, please alert him that I am looking for him to share more lessons,” he added.
