Adelle Onyango urges African women to find their genuine selves

Media personality Adelle Onyango has urged African women to focus on finding their genuine selves.
She spoke about her personal journey and the direction she has chosen to take. Adelle explained that her current focus is on using her skills and platforms to guide and support women.
“What is most in alignment with me right now is to use everything I’m good at, every platform I’ve built, to heal, to liberate and guide African women to their most genuine selves,” Adelle Onyango said on Monday, May 4, 2026.
The former radio queen explained that her work is meant to help women discover who they truly are. Adelle said she hopes her content can offer guidance and reflection. She added that she wants women to connect with their true identity.

“I hope African women find either bits of themselves or pathways to themselves, in all that I do and all that I create,” she said.
Adelle also spoke about her past struggles with distractions and outside opinions. She explained that she had to take time to focus and remove what was not helping her. According to her, the past two years have been important in that process.
“I’ve always felt drawn to this, but still had noise around me. The last two years were for shedding the noise. I did,” Adelle Onyango said.
Journey to alignment and purpose
She went on to explain the importance of being aligned with one’s purpose. Adelle said that understanding your role brings peace and clarity. She added that everyone has unique gifts to carry.

“One thing I can attest, once you are aligned with what you’re meant to be doing, once you lean into the gifts that out of all in your lineage, you were seen as best placed to carry, the peace that comes with that…unmatched,” she said.
Adelle noted that challenges are part of the journey but should not stop anyone. She explained that people are not alone when facing difficulties. She added that strength and wisdom help in dealing with such moments.
“There will be challenges, but not only will you never face them alone because your ancestors are ALWAYS close, but you will meet those challenges with grace and wisdom,” Adelle Onyango said.
