VJ Patelo claims they spent Ksh500M on their wedding
By Valerian Khakayi, July 28, 2025Social media personality and Arbantone artist Stanley, widely known as VJ Patelo and his wife Diana, have been the talk of the town after tying the knot over the weekend in a lavish, street‑fairytale‑themed ceremony.
The wedding, which redefined Kenyan cultural norms, was held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Naiposha Gardens in Limuru and carried an eye‑watering price tag.
Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna on Monday, July 28, 2025, Patelo said that they had spent Ksh 500 million on their lavish wedding.
“Hiyo wedding imecost kitu kama Ksh 500 million,” he said.
When asked what drove the high cost, Patelo explained that it included catering, vehicles, venue, food, guest arrangements, car convoys, décor, photography, invitation materials, banners, rings, attire, and an imported cake.

According to the Arbantone star, they said they had spent Ksh 1.5 million on the combined set of the wedding ring.
“The cars, the venue, the food, the guests, the cars that we used, the set-up, decorations, cameramen, initiation cards and the banners,” he explained.
“Hiyo cake haikuwa normal; cake ilikuwa imported from Dubai. Wedding ring: Ksh 500,000 gold ring; ya Diana pia ni gold hizi zote zilicost Ksh 1.5 million.”

Additionally, the couple disclosed that they had spent Ksh 1.6 million on the wedding dress, which they imported from Dubai, Ksh 1.7 million on the groom’s suit, and Ksh 2.2 million on suits for their ten friends.
“I did not get my dress in Kenya, I imported it from Dubai at Ksh 1.6 million,” Diana disclosed.
“My suite cost Ksh 1.7 million, while for all of my ten friends, their suite cost Ksh 2.2 million,” Patelo stated.
Patelo also addressed his choice of fashion during the wedding, which drew plenty of attention, particularly the long silver chains he wore.

He explained that the accessories were not a sudden choice but a reflection of his style, as he has always had a deep love for silver chains and rings, even long before the wedding.
He noted that as an artiste, his fashion and flair stem from his identity and his roots in the streets, which he says inspire both his music and public persona.
“The silver chains I wore at the wedding were that long because I love them that way. I have always loved silver chains and rings. That is the inspiration behind my look,” he explained.
