Vera Sidika explains why she opted to buy Range Rover and not Rolls-Royce
By Ascah Mwango, July 26, 2025Kenyan socialite and reality TV star Vera Sidika has opened up about her decision to purchase a brand new Range Rover instead of going for other high-end luxury vehicles like a Lamborghini or Rolls-Royce.
Responding to a curious fan on her Instagram stories on Saturday, July 26, 2025, Vera explained that while she could afford more flashy brands, she is simply a Rover girl and prefers to spend her money wisely.
“Lmaooo must people copy-paste & buy the same cars others are buying? I don’t get it, lol. I’m a Rover girl,” Vera wrote.
Adding;
“Lambo, Rolls-Royce will come when I’m ready for them. I don’t prioritise cars coz they depreciate. Otherwise, I would be popping up with new cars every year, btw, but I prefer acres & properties instead.”
No loan
Vera also proudly insisted that she owns a brand-new model of the Range Rover, not a used or facelifted version like many others in the country.
“Oh, even with that, I’m the only celebrity in Kenya who owns a legit new-shape Rover. Not a facelift. No hire. No loans. Oh & not a stolen Rover,” she added.
This clarification came just a few days after she faced questions about how often she would use the luxury SUV, considering her well-known love for air travel.
On Wednesday, July 23, a fan had asked, “Vee, how often will you drive this car when you are always flying? Seriously, congratulations though.”
In response, Vera admitted that while cars have never been a top priority for her, she still plans to make the most of her new vehicle.
“That is why I am not really into cars; honestly, they have never been a priority for me. But I will drive it until you all get tired of me; don’t worry,” she said.
Vera shocked her fans on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, when she unveiled her brand-new Range Rover, reportedly worth Ksh18 million. The bold purchase came shortly after she dismissed online rumours that she had gone broke and disappeared from the limelight.
In her Instagram post, Vera described the car as a symbol of her new chapter, reclaiming her status as one of Kenya’s top luxury influencers.
