Vera Sidika and Anerlisa Muigai in bitter feud over who runs the show
By Steve Ireri, July 29, 2025A bitter online feud has erupted between socialite Vera Sidika and Keroche heiress Anerlisa Muigai, with the two high-profile personalities trading accusations over who first followed the other on Instagram, and who is secretly obsessed.
The drama began when Vera took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, to post a cryptic message that immediately caught the attention of her fans.
In the post, she accused Anerlisa of stalking her page and then quickly unfollowing her, suggesting that the action was far from accidental.
“I wonder who’s obsessed with whom. Because I do not go stalking people’s pages and follow by accident. Then unfollowing immediately. When a fan says someone stalked my page and the same person actually stalked my page one month ago, what am I supposed to think,” she wrote.
To back her claims, Vera posted a screenshot showing that Anerlisa had once followed her, a move which seemed to catch her off guard, given the pair’s frosty public relationship.
According to Vera, the sudden follow and swift unfollow indicated a deeper level of curiosity or obsession from Anerlisa.
But Anerlisa did not take the insinuation lying down.
In a swift and detailed rebuttal, the Nero CEO explained that the follow-up had not been intentional and blamed it on her young nephew, who she claimed had been using her phone.
“Imagine keeping a screenshot for 1 month… Just to be clear, there was a day I gave my nephew my phone, and one of my friends called me asking me if I was aware that I was following 54 people. I said no, but when I looked, I saw she (my nephew) had followed almost every celebrity in Kenya and Tanzania… That is when I unfollowed everyone she had accidentally followed. I can only imagine the excitement of my followers,” she wrote.
However, Vera immediately called out what she viewed as contradictions in Anerlisa’s story.
In a fiery clapback, she mocked Anerlisa for blaming the follow on a ‘she nephew’, questioning whether the term even made sense.
“Screenshot? Because I would be shocked when someone who does not like me follows me. Definitely shared on group chat for sure. Btw, when you lie, you always contradict yourself. Ati nephew then says ‘she’ followed. Was it a boy or a girl? When did we start having she nephews? AMA ni rainbow colours. By the way, she unfollowed within seconds, so I wonder when her friend even noticed. For her to make a call… kwani they camp on her page every minute,” she wrote.
