Singer Willy Paul’s liquor store in Mirema has been marked with crime scene tapes after police arrived to commence investigations following a night of vandalism that left its windows and doors broken and some expensive liquor missing.

In videos shared by YouTuber 2Mbili on Friday, October 10, 2025, hours after he visited the premises, an officer could be seen sealing off the vandalised shop with tape.

The footage showed bottles of various types of liquor scattered across the road, shattered glass from the doors, and several empty shelves inside the store.

The incident comes hours after Willy Paul issued a statement addressing the attack.

He explained that his shop was targeted by a group of hired individuals who attempted to make it appear that the vandalism was carried out by students, but their true intention was theft.

He added that the group broke his car, broke into the shop, stole merchandise, including some expensive alcohol, and attempted to steal the CCTV hard drive, but were unsuccessful.

“I want to address an unfortunate incident that occurred last night at my liquor store. My shop was targeted by a group of hired goons who attempted to create the impression that the attack was carried out by students. In reality, their sole intention was theft. They broke my car, broke into the shop, stole merchandise, including some expensive alcohol, and even tried to steal the CCTV hard drive but were unsuccessful,” Willy Paul wrote.

“They also caused significant damage to the property, including breaking windows and stealing alcohol.”

Willy Paul assured that no one was injured during the attack and confirmed that the police had been notified and were conducting investigations.

He emphasised that authorities are working to apprehend those responsible.

Despite the damage, the singer clarified that his business remains open and expressed appreciation for the continued support from his fans.

“I want to assure you all that no one was injured, and the police have been notified. Investigations are already underway, and we are working closely with the authorities to apprehend those responsible. I also want to let you know that our business remains open, and we appreciate your continued support during this time,” he shared.
