Supuu O Mioro explains how crossdressing opened doors in Meru’s creative industry
By Steve Ireri, November 21, 2025Meru-born content creator Vincent Muriithi Kirimi, popularly known as Supuu O Mioro, has shared how crossdressing transformed his career and created opportunities in his local creative scene.
Speaking exclusively to K24 Digital on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Supuu, who has since become a household name in the county, revealed that his early work in television advertising, which required him to portray female characters, became a turning point in his path in entertainment.
“I started doing women’s roles when I was offered a TV advert, and the role never required me to wear men’s clothes. I did the role so well, people liked it, and I also liked the role,” he said.
Supuu explained that one of his first roles involved playing a woman in a TV advert.
He said the role never required him to dress as an older woman, but rather a younger female character, a contrast to traditional crossdressing stereotypes.

Because of this, he started wearing makeup and wigs to appear in those commercial roles on billboards.
He noted that several people in Meru who saw his adverts reposted them, and that momentum helped him land larger and more lucrative roles over time.
“Many big people in Meru also reposted the clips of the advert where I was crossdressing, and later, I started getting bigger adverts. The bigger roles required me to be younger when crossdressing, not to play an older woman but a younger one. That is why I started wearing makeup and wigs, because I was going to be on billboards,” he said.
Sexuality proof
Supuu said that, in the early days, he wanted to prove his heterosexuality, explaining that he even had his first child as a way to show he was straight.
He revealed that he is now a father of four children, all of whom he had while establishing his identity and career.
“I even had my firstborn in a desperate bid to prove I am straight. Now I have four children, all of whom I had while trying to prove I am straight, that I am a man,” he said.

The content creator added that he noticed there was no one else in Meru doing what he was doing, and the gap inspired him to fully commit to crossdressing as part of his creative work.
Supuu stated that his crossdressing is a professional tool rather than a personal statement, and he added that it has allowed him to secure roles and brand deals that would otherwise have been inaccessible.
“In Meru, in all of Meru’s creative industry, there is no woman who can do the things I do, and that is how I realised there was room here. I decided to take the chance and never looked back. I looked ahead and said that I had previously tried to prove to the world that I am straight, and that to crossdress does not mean I am gay,” Supuu said.
